planned the stay so my grandson could visit us and we could go swimming. the water temperature in the pool was probably in the 50's making it impossible to swim. disappointing.

The hotel was reliable, clean offered enjoyable breakfasts and had a magnificent location to Hartford area. Location: the property was short walk to resturants. I dined walking distance from the hotel at Mcdonald's. The king room was reasonably large and perfect, with climate control, pay TV and a fridge. The bed was very comfy, a tub worked well.

I've stayed at this hotel quite a bit over the past four years and the experience has been consistently good. The rooms are clean, the lobby restaurant and service is very nice, and the size of the hotel is optimal.
During my most recent stay at the hotel I requested a quiet room on a high floor. Instead I was put in a room on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard, where the celebrations for 3 weddings were taking place. I called the front desk at 1:30 A.M. to report the deafening noise but the party continued well into the night. I was not informed of the weddings when checking in. When I went to the front desk the next morning and mentioned that it had been one of my worst hotel stays ever, I was apathetically referred to a manager, who only offered an apology. After some wrangling, I was offered $50 off of my second night, which was better than nothing but it was little compensation for the first night's hellish experience. FYI: Marriott also now puts a "security hold" on your credit card for incidentals, which lingers on your account for days after your stay. I was not informed of this policy at check-in. There must be some way to protect the hotel's interests other than preemptively billing every guest for incidentals they didn't purchase. I am a Marriott Rewards customer, and if that's how my loyalty is rewarded, I'm going to start looking elsewhere.

Large room and nice bed. Good coffe machine.
Location at a junction with some houses and shops around. No nice view, or a nice forest etc. My sofa was difficult to sit in.

Good location near Wesleyan University. Great place to stay for families, rooms are big and clean and the staffs are nice and friendly.
The rates are a bit high though, compared to other hotels in the area.

Comfortable beds, very clean, big room with 1 person pull out couch, modern decor. No bkfst included but a place to purchase snacks and light meal. Great lobby area with couches, individual tables with individual tv's.
When the hotel is crowded don't expect a hot shower. They ran out of hot water at 8:30am. Shameful for a Marriott brand hotel.
